At first I took 5-HTP (different brand) for several months, but my source dried up on the spot. I thought about trying Carlson. The product label looks different (text is the same) and the most used date is 3-2017 (today 7/31/15). The instructions say to take or dissolve by mouth/mouth. I don't think that's true compared to my favorite (Natrol FAST DISSOLVE tablets). There is a difference between them; Carlson's contains B-6 while Natrol does not. In any case, Carlson 5-HTP doesn't dissolve very well, at least not quickly. The taste isn't as good as I was hoping, again Natrol tastes better and has the perfect consistency when dissolved. I'll have to settle for this Carlson 5-HTP until I find more Natrol branded products (at a better price than what I've seen online).
