No worries with Orange Seal

I used Stans before I found Orange Seal and now I use Orange Seal exclusively. I've confidently driven around Utah in an Orange Seal, and I've also driven—and walked—through Colorado in a rental car because I wanted an Orange Seal (not a Stans). No two punctures are the same, but I've returned to the beginning of the trail after simple punctures (you'll hardly notice them until the end of the ride) and even cracked grips (more noticeable, like eruption-sealant-noticeable) - used a plug along with OS sealant). I've even ridden on a warped rim after rubbing dirt into the gap as the OS dried in the gap (see pic), although I had to pump regularly because the rim was out of shape. In the case of "normal" glitches, the OS acts quickly and efficiently. What I love most about the Orange Seal is the bead connection, which is so strong it makes re-inflation easy; I find it invaluable on the trail. I don't have that confidence with Stans. TIPS: Add a little more than recommended for new tires. It forms a film all over/in the new tire. However, the key to tubeless sealant is making sure there is enough sealant in the tire to puncture. Shake well and add through an open bar or rod. (They make a tubular injector that works great.) Shaking is also key since Orange Seal has solids that work in concert with the liquid.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • The list will be long.
