The mediocre paint job on one of the brackets was least of the problems. One bracket was reasonably square, but the other wasn't. The front end was about 3/16" higher than the back, which makes my little 7x5 inch shelf wobbly and look crooked, even though the brackets are perfectly level at the back, against the wall.Based on the good bracket, I'd have given these four stars. Their design is attractive and they come with decent mounting hardware. If you aren't too picky, then these will make a reasonably attractive, very sturdy mount for your shelf.Update: I've added a 3rd star to the review because the vendor reached out to me and offered to replace the bad bracket. But I've already installed the bracket and don't want the hassle of replacing it and returning the old one. So as a vendor, I definitely recommend them.
