I bought this with the intention of connecting my virtual network environment to my real hardware for lab purposes. This mostly works for common things like connecting a computer to an ethernet cable to connect to the internet. The issue occurs when attempting to connect a virtual and real lab environment. I have fluctuating interfaces between my virtual router and the physical layer 3 switch. I've tried many configurations and routing protocols, but the hanging interfaces persist. I won't let that fact grossly distort this review. I'm sure this is pretty normal for most people who don't do network labs. However, if you don't need a network card for your lab, you can explore the options.
