I have never fitted chains and have done so in practice. things I've learned. Wrap the tire around the machine with the long hanging part last. Shake it while lifting the matching ring. Hook 2 small red hooks and slide back until the diamond pattern is the center of the hoop. Take a long piece of rubber and thread the chain through the spring section and then the big red hook. Tighten to hook the rubber piece as much as possible. When removing, make sure that the two small hooks are at the top of the wheel. I drove forward a bit and then tried to take them off when they were in the wrong place and I was having trouble getting the rings loose. I think color directions would help me.
