Not what I wanted from a coffee maker. It's fast and that's probably the problem. What I've found is that it takes more time to get the best percolator experience, amazing flavor and divine aroma that fills the house. As the saying goes: Take time for a good deed! I found that to get the classic coffee maker I was looking for without finding a vintage aluminum and/or plastic version, it had to be a stove top coffee maker. This allows you to increase the temperature a little more slowly, giving the perchlorination time to create the best flavor and smell. Today I used a small 6 cup coffee maker I found at a thrift store. I almost forgot it was on until the smell reached me. Heaven! It smells so good and tastes like coffee from the days before Mr. Coffee. I sent it back and am in the process of upgrading to a 12 cup stove. Coletti and Tops seem like the best options, but as of this writing Revain doesn't offer a 12 cup. So I did some research and found I could get one from Ace Hardware. I still have my Cuisinart drip and may need to do a side-by-side flavor comparison. I just don't think a drip machine can really keep up. I will keep you up-to-date. I hope this information helps you, my dear coffee lovers.
