Almost Perfect Product

I was looking for a replacement for my Honda Ridgeline key that broke on the fob. Replacing the key fob and making a new key is quite an expensive pleasure! Assuming I'm not the only Honda owner facing this situation, I crossed my fingers and searched the Revain for a replacement Honda Ridgeline key fob case. Wonder of wonders, the results offered not just one, but many possibilities! While Ridgeline wasn't specifically mentioned in this case, the buttons were the same, so I gave it a shot. The case is well made and snaps together with the old key/new collar in less than a minute. AN IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure to remove the chip from the old case! "Chip" is not like anything electronic! It resembles a small rectangular bar magnet. Although this case doesn't have a built in chip compartment like the one you open to remove the chip from your original Honda key fob, it attaches with a drop of hot glue or superglue inside the case in the same position as the old coupe. Without this chip, your key will open and close locks, turn, but not start the car. Put in a new Phillips head screw and you're done. I'm pretty sure trademark law doesn't allow these key fobs to have the Honda logo on the back, but that seems to be the only difference. For a savings of $100 I can live with that! As you can understand from the above, I am very satisfied with this product or purchase!
