The product won't rust and the holes are thin enough to accommodate most leaves and herbs, and it really is the perfect cup of tea that you can use multiple times at will - just add boiling water! Be careful not to use too much force as this can bend/squeeze the hole just enough to make it difficult to properly install the top over time. Even though it's 18/8, it's still a bit pliable.
