I have a 2008 Silverado with a Rough Country 3.5” lift kit (strut braces, UCA and front lowers, Rough Country blocks and rear shocks). The rubber part of the suspension is almost completely worn out and the front struts are ready for replacement. Went ahead and got adjustable Bilstein struts and 0-4 inch shocks for the rear along with all the rubber components under the truck. When I received the Bilstein I was very impressed with the quality of the shock bodies. Installation was a breeze, I didn't use the shock adjuster as I already had a spacer so it's factory fitted to the shock body, but I couldn't imagine it would be more difficult using the max travel adjustment. The truck felt stiff for the first 100 miles or so, but now that the suspension has had time to adjust, it rides and handles better than a new truck, even with a lift and tires. I liked them so much I talked my buddy into buying a kit to replace the new shocks he has on his '06 Silverado with a 6 inch lifter. They arrived today and we will install them later next week. Well done Bilstein!
