🔧 Bilstein 5100 Series Shock Absorber (24-186940) Review

The absorber itself is easy to install, but installing it on a 2011 Silverado 1500 is generally a problem. To compress the coil I used two sets of Auto-Zone coil compressors and an air impact wrench (I don't recommend this as it's very dangerous, but I went for it anyway). They were great for aligning our 2013 2WD Suburban 1500. They are a bit more durable compared to OEM. Ride quality is much better, OEMs feel too soft, even new ones, and OEMs tend to cause uneven wear on my all-terrain tires, which is typical of bad or too-soft shocks.
