I'd say it's an $8 kettle at best, in a small kettle just above the boiling point of water. It's very cute and I love that it comes with a tea diffuser. It's also the perfect size for a cup or two, which was exactly what I was looking for. The lid is difficult to remove, making the water awkwardly boiling at all ends. Also, it gets hot when cooking, so you don't want to touch it at all. This makes adding a tea diffuser difficult. In addition, water flows from above when watering. The handle gets hot and I have to use a towel to pour water. After all, it doesn't whistle, which I actually knew and therefore didn't give a star. But because the lid is so difficult to put on and take off, it's very difficult to tell when the water is boiling. I have to stand there and listen carefully, and in the end, a small kettle works just as well, if not better. I wish I had spent a little more money to get a better quality kettle.
