Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced Cooling Solution: Acrylic Case with Fan for Raspberry Pi X820 V3.0 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD Shield Expansion Board Kit by Cody Siger

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lightweight, high quality, beautiful design

This case is just beautiful and very easy to assemble, even without instructions. You will need an X820 SSD Drive Adapter Board to use this case as the holes on the bottom are positioned to support an SSD board that itself uses the Raspberry Pi (or Libre Potato, Renegade, Tinker Board or any board with the same) supported form factor). Tips: 1. Remove all protective film from the parts. This is the most annoying step. 2. Build the Pi on an X820 board providing the necessary racks in the box. 3. Fix the X820 board and pi at the bottom. 4. Gather the sides together and lower before attaching the long corner posts holding the body together (this is easier) 5. With the sides already installed, attach the long corner posts to the base. 6. Attach the top. 7. Profit (or not, and let's face it, you most likely won't). I personally found the fan a little noisy so I found an extra piece of wire left over from another project and connected it to the 3.3V GPIO pin. With the low-profile CPU fan on my Pi, it gets plenty of airflow. Probably everything would be fine with normal radiators. All in all, this is the best case I've ever come across. The possibility of an SSD with a rooted file system accidentally going offline is virtually impossible. And it looks great anywhere! 5 stars, will definitely buy again for my next system.
