Review on ๐Ÿงถ Lion Brand Yarn Cover Story Astro: Unveiling the Finest Yarn for Dreamy Creations by Kelsey Brown

Too many knots

I want to love this yarn. It's by far the easiest to work with on my projects, feels great, and works very quickly. I'm making baby blankets to donate to an organization in our community and I want to do it pretty quickly. Cover Story is more expensive but I was still willing to buy it. Except breaks. I had 3 of their cakes. The 1st had 3 breaks (knots), the 2nd had 5 and the 3rd had 6! My project required each to be cut and then the tails placed and worked, adding extra time, sometimes messing up the pattern and wasting yarn and effort. One of the reasons I bought Cover Story was so I could do a single project with one continuous piece of yarn. When using Bernat I need 3 balls. Here's my answer! Wrong, so wrong. Lion responded well to my initial review with one issue, but this is clearly a manufacturing issue for the company. You just can't produce this stuff. I wanted to love this garden. I still do it, but now I'll stop buying it (Lion no longer responds to my complaints about their products, which is why I'm writing here).

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and thick
