Good solid steel. Hex or round head screwdrivers are difficult to deform. Great set for trunk or garage. Plenty of sockets, screwdrivers and Allen keys of all sizes, plus a ratchet. The pliers are fine. Many tools have plastic handles. I don't know if they protect against bumps, but they are easy to clean. There are tools for bicycle tires. Good for a variety of things, cars, motorcycles etc when in a garage. Supplement with additional tools as needed. However, I don't know if you can call it professional. But it's at least good for a person doing moderate work on their car. Not a very good tool set for the home as it doesn't have a hammer, spirit level and everything, but they aren't really needed for a car. I wish I had more hole for the pliers to have a better grip, a magnetic handle (did someone drop the screws?), and the ball end allen wrenches. When you're in odd angles and tight spaces it's sometimes difficult to score with Allen and the ball helps a lot. However, this is a pretty good kit.
