I rarely, if ever, write reviews, but feel compelled to share my experience with this product. The first thing I will say is that these little balls are very hard, it takes my birds a lot of effort to break them in half. It took a few words to convince him it was actually food, and I don't blame him because they look and feel like real rocks. My second issue is that they smell awful and taste like cardboard. Eventually, my bird got so tired of chewing on those impossible-to-chew pellets and started swallowing them whole, causing her to choke on her food every time she eats. I eliminated them from his diet but now he is choking on even regular food and now I am very worried about my bird until I take him to the vet tomorrow. During my conversation with the vet he mentioned that this brand is high in sugar and could cause a yeast infection in his crop. I swapped my bird out because I wanted him to be healthy and ended up giving him tasteless, smelly stones that are blocking his esophagus. There are better brands of pellets out there that won't kill your bird, choose wisley is all I can say.
