Review on K N RK 3954B Intake System by Doug Taylor

I have used various K&N products over the years and they usually impress me with VERY high quality. However, when installing this air intake, I quickly discovered that the back plate (Part #01938TK) is very brittle where the three throttle body bolts attach. You have to be VERY careful to just push it in slightly or you will punch a hole for the screw. I'm the type to be very careful not to overtighten, but this was way too flimsy compared to the stock pickup. Looks? Great performance? Seems to be an improvement. Construction? So-so considering how soft and weak the metal is in the critical area. Hopefully K&N or Revain will fix the problem.
