I installed them when I installed new forks and handlebars on the 29" Hyper. I installed a Bucklos fork and used the front caliper bolts with the washer pack from that kit. The Hyper's rotors were warped. They are nice and flat. The mechanical brake upgrade is fantastic. No squeak. No friction. Just brake well. Offer. I have better control with them. I can still brake ergos with an outstretched finger from my bike. Initially I tried using the right front brake but the cable is too short to cross it all the way. for my 780mm handlebar. I used an adjustable wrench and loosened the fairly tight hose connections on both manual controls. You can completely remove the metal swivel nut and the hose will stay in place and tight until you're ready to move on to another. I swapped left and single controls in less than a minute and didn't lose a drop of fluid. I didn't pip them like they did at the factory and they don't leak. I worry about stripping threads with such force. I thought I would need to bleed the brakes, but after playing around with my brake bleed kit, I realized that any air going straight to the control lever went into the reservoir and didn't cause any problems. If I had to do it again I would miss part of the bleeding. It's not really necessary unless there are soft brake issues. This is a great kit to replace mechanical brakes with hydraulic ones. You may not need rotors, but it's a good idea to have a quick change kit instead of trying to fix a bent disc. This set could have been better if it came with a set of olives and connectors so you can adjust the lines through the frame. components.
