Thin, sound deadening foam liner does the job perfectly

This foam liner is great for automotive projects and many other uses. I'm repairing an old boat and there is plywood paneling for the inboard motor. I got this for his interior. This PE foam with an aluminum foil outer shell is easy to measure, cut, apply and works great! The liner is only 0.3 inches thick. It comes on a roll nearly 16 inches wide and 165 inches long. The sticky side is covered with rubbing paper that you peel off. I placed the pieces in the box I wanted to encase, cut them to length, then peeled off the backing paper and taped it in place. I didn't make any mistakes. You can use a roller to press it down or just press it down by hand. I found that this made a noticeable difference in the sound of the engine, which is what I was looking for. It also blocks 98% of radiant heat, a bonus I left out. It also blocks vibrations. Each roll covers 18 square feet.
