Review on πŸ”¨ Neiko 02627 17.5-Inch Demolition Hammers by Chris Moody

Sturdy and more or less works with my jackhammer

I bought this along with a B00IO3Z5MS jackhammer which I bought here specifically for breaking up and digging up my 950sf basement. This is a very heavy shovel that works with my jackhammer and works very well in packed clay and gravel. However, the jackhammer piston seems to have a hard time hitting the shaft. Trying to hit the hammer at a high angle or on softer material doesn't really do much good, the jackhammer doesn't seem to hit the blade shank, so the blade only vibrates from the vibration of the tool and not the impact. I suspect this is due to the poor design of some of the jackhammer's components and not the shovel, but I will be making some modifications to the shank to better match the shank of the blades that came with the jackhammer. .Definitely worth the price, and even if it only seems to work, it still does a much better job than a hand shovel.

Pros
  • Power tool parts and accessories
Cons
  • Some little things
