Overall I am happy with these Vulcan ties. However, there are 2 disadvantages. 1. Unfolding the straps, I noticed that none of the protective Cordura sleeves were burned at the ends and all had already started to wear out. It's okay - I used a butane lighter and burned them. 2. The day I received them, I attached them to a jeep that was on my flatbed truck. I had to move the straps on the rear wheels and after loosening the ratchet I found that the small springy pieces of metal that serve to close the heavy hooks and prevent them from loosening appeared to be so twisted or pinched that they wouldn't open, so I had to use a flathead screwdriver and pliers to open and reshape them. This is a very soft metal, so be aware of possible problems. Otherwise the straps and ratchets appear to be of good quality.
