Review on Efficient Organization and Versatile Performance: Performance Tool W1099 22-Piece SAE and Combination Metric Wrench Set with Organizer Rack by Adan Hudson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's the best money can buy... no, but...

This is a decent key set for the price and I paid about $22 for it in 2009. The finish is good, but it's not the same. I bought them to...but prefer to have a handy set of SAE and metric wrenches to carry around the house while I work on the gear rather than a whole toolbox. It would be nice if the kit included 20mm, 21mm and 22mm to match SAE sizes...but that's just my preference and I rarely need those sizes...until today when I have 22mm needed because 7/8” slides over my oxygen sensor. Also they were useable and I actually bought them for the plus sizes and they worked well...even with a lot of pull they didn't slip. The downside to the sets is that they all come in smaller sizes that you probably already have and most stop at 5/8" so I got around $12-$15 with the 3/4" and 7/8" sizes saved up without buying them individually. I work a lot with my old cars, with all the lawn and garden tools, and with an extensive acre irrigation system, so I try to have an extra kit for the garage and another in the shop...plus some in the vehicles. I don't think I can have too many wrenches...or sockets...and I'm not at all disappointed with this set, although my Craftsman tools are usually my favorites. I have found that I often need two wrenches of the same size to fill this gap. The downside of every set I've bought...including sockets...is that the larger sizes aren't included, hence the 5 stars. The rating is based on what I got for the price, not that they are anywhere near the best available.
