"Stops " only water, doesn't stop
I should have read the info on this aerator but missed it as it turned out to be the aerator I bought from Home Depot . I don't know what the point of "stopping" the flow of water (on this machine the water flows about half as fast when the lever is up), but I wanted the water to stop completely. Either way, get an aerator from Home Depot. It costs more ($10), but you can stop the water (not completely, a few drops of water will flow out), and I think if you want to "stop" the flow, you can just lift the lever halfway.
