Poor manufacturing tolerances and no instructions

I'm a general contractor doing residential remodels. I purchased these to fabricate a cable railing. I'm using a TEMco 11 US Ton crimping tool (purchased on Best Buy).My original order worked "OK" - meaning, after a bit of fooling around, I got it to work reasonably well using the 11T crimping tool and a #6 die to crimp onto 1/8" stainless steel cable (Bysn 1/8" 7x7 cable, T316, also purchased on Best Buy). I ended up needing more than I originally planned, so I purchased additional packages. The second wave of packages tended to slip when tension is applied, rendering them useless for a railing. After a ton of experimentation, (and wasting an entire bag at the full price shown above), I'm decided this is what is needed to make the parts work correctly.1) Make sure to crimp within about 3/8" of the (unthreaded) end of the part. The more cable you have "behind" the crimp, the better the chance it will hold.2) Always use the smaller die recommended. For 1/8" cable, they say #4 and #6 will work, but don't trust #6. The smaller die leaves a bit less elegant of a crimp, but it is necessary in order to hold the cable.3) Once the part is crimped, *BE CAREFUL*. You'll see in the photos, using the smaller crimping die means the part will splinter. You end up with razor sharp splinters that will absolutely slice up your hands. I ended up using emery cloth on each piece to remove the burr and reduce the chance of injury.I really can NOT recommend these- choose form another one of the systems out there.
