Not the cheapest but the easiest way to connect to KVM!
Have you ever been to a data center and couldn't find an emergency truck? This product is for you. This USB device works equally well on Mac or PC and connects your laptop to a server or device and allows your laptop, keyboard, mouse and monitor to be the server/device. The software is a bit quirky and sometimes requires a manual update. to clean up some screen artifacts, and every now and then after disconnecting and reconnecting (e.g. Highly recommended, especially for people who travel to install process equipment and never know when they will enter if an emergency truck is available.
