Review on πŸ§‚ Rongyuxuan Gravity Electric Salt and Pepper Grinder Set - Automatic Battery-Operated Pepper and Salt Mill Grinder with Adjustable Coarseness, LED Light, and One-Hand Operation by Cody Cobbs

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good grind, bad battery life, branded cookware

I bought these because they looked fun and left one hand free while cooking. I was half right. It's fun to use them. I end up tipping the grinder over with my free hand to see how much product I'm actually using. The light is not bright enough to show the amount of salt or pepper being ground into the food when it is in the pan. You have to hold the grinder about 1 inch away from the food to see it. If the grinder is tilted even slightly or shaken at all, it will attempt to grind even if there is nothing to grind. It's a little annoying when you take it apart to add more product. And it's loud. But it doesn't matter. Before I bought them I knew that each of them had 6 batteries. To make matters worse, the (fresh) batteries in the salt mill ran out in less than 3 months. and when I changed them, there was a white powdery substance inside the battery case. I don't know if it could have been finely ground salt or if the batteries were corroded (I didn't want to try that to find out). If they are corroded I don't know if it was caused by salt particles as the original pepper mill batteries still work. *** There are many other windmills on Revain that look EXACTLY the same. I suspect they all come from the same manufacturer. I chose them because the photos showed they had NO logo on them. I HATE when things are branded. I don't feel like I have to pay for their ads. I think the branding cheapens the look and ruins the elegant look of the coffee grinders. If I had known they had a seal I would have looked further.
