I bought my racing handlebars purely for the looks and luckily they turned out to be quite comfortable. But if it was too smooth! It wasn't immediately noticeable, but after about 2-3 hours it became unbearably slippery from all the sweat. I don't really like wearing gloves when riding, but I grabbed these and it solved the problem. Hands no longer slip on the steering wheel. The added convenience is good too. The fabric part you can wipe the sweat with is ok but not thick enough to absorb all the sweat. Usually the wind takes care of that. If not, it's probably too hot to drive or you're driving too slowly.
