This wire is legal! Soft, flexible, lots of thin strands, sounds great. It is an ideal speaker cable for car audio system. I thought the soft insulation might be difficult to pull, but it pulled me perfectly under a rug and never got stuck. A 100ft coil will last a long time unless you do a lot of plumbing or RV wiring or whatever for a long time. Yes, it's not pure copper, and yes, it's not 12 gauge. But for 95% of people, this wire is enough. unless you are a hardcore music lover or competition builder. Don't fall into the trap of buying expensive and unnecessarily larger wires. If you count, then in most cases an expensive wire with a large cross-section is simply not needed.
