Not really, almost!: Tools and Equipment

In this review, I'm going to be specific in hopes that if someone knows what kind of car (Chevrolet S-10 Blazer, 1997, four door, four wheel drive ) & poster of the state (North Carolina) where this was tested. So I hope this helps someone! In 2011 I bought my new poster from the DMV for the next five years. To my surprise, The Great State of North Carolina foolishly and very cheaply replaced flexible plastic posters with cheap paper posters. Cardstock would be a *great* alternative to this paper. After this little gem was released I went back to the car and tried to fit this new plaque into my old holder and to say the least this plaque *didn't fit. * fits in my old Plexiglas holder. The top of the poster was sticking out, moving down the sides etc. It's been just over a year since it was published and it's in terrible condition! This poster should serve me until March 2016! mmm NO. (Hopefully, during the 2016 replacement, The Great State of North Carolina [sarcasm] will give us something for a handicap poster that will last more than a week and look decent.) The plexiglass poster holder was melted down into new mold(s) by-cause the heat in the car and the condition of the license plate got even worse because it didn't fit in the holder, so I decided it was time to buy a new license plate protector for disabled people. When I started my product research for a sticker protector, I measured the sticker and quickly decided on this type of product. I was much more interested in buying the gold version of this product, unfortunately it's not long enough for my plate. When I saw that it was advertised as 10 inches long and my plate was 9.8 inches long and 3.75 inches wide, I settled on silver. Choosing a vendor, JL Safety, was a perfectly *simple process*. Your testimonials are extraordinarily persuasive. I ordered on Saturday 12th May 2012 and paid for normal shipping. Product arrived on Wednesday 16th May 2012 in a baggy envelope with additional bubble wrap around the holders. Nicely and securely packaged! I collected the holders and went to the car. It was more difficult to mount the hook due to the headlights etc. Chevrolet felt it was important to add the headlights and extras to the rearview mirror of the 1997 4-door S-10 Blazer during the production of the car. Then I tried to put the poster in the sleeve. With sadness and fear I realized there was nothing I could do to make this poster fit up my sleeve! I'm disappointed. This is a high quality design and I *REALLY* need something strong to hold this piece of crude government plaque together! I found that the magnet is not as strong as I expected. A magnet doesn't have as strong a magnetic attraction or bond. When assembling the display unit, the label and the plastic case easily fall off or disappear from the rearview mirror and into the floor or console. Be warned that in the event of an accident, the sign cannot become detached or fall to the ground. I can easily imagine a worst case scenario where my shield is out of sight. The sign is not on a clear display. When the officer looked around and didn't see that my license plate had fallen out of the rearview mirror where it couldn't be seen. In my state, parking in a handicapped space without a sign can result in a $250 fine! So I need to check carefully and make sure the sticker stays around the rearview mirror. my last thoughts I give the design and idea a 4* rating. (if ONLY it was a little longer!) I give the seller 5* for fast shipping and beautiful presentation. I just wish it worked better for me. I would buy from this seller again and intend to try and see if JL Safety develops a longer disabled plate protector to fit my NC plate. I hope she has a stronger magnet too!
