Really crappy paint job, but the tools seems very solid and heavy duty.

I was not entirely surprised by the poor finish on this tool based on prior reviews, but one would think that they'd improve it after so many comments to that effect.That being understood, it does appear to be a heavy duty piece of metal with sturdy workmanship.I have not had occasion to use it yet, but expect it will perform well based on design and build.I may end up modifying it [as I often find myself doing], but I probably won't refinish it unless it rusts, because for me it's more about function than visual appeal.

Pros

It's perfect for making electrical connections that are safe, secure, and reliable

Cons

The ratcheting mechanism can be difficult to engage
