Review on 🎁 Lykke Double-Pointed Needles Gift Sets - Small US 0-5 Set with Grey Denim Pouch by Amber Perez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality

This company is a bit strange, they seem to be posing as a Norwegian company using the term Lykke (there is no address or contact email on their website), they claim that their needles are handmade, so you might think they were made in Norway. The company is based in New York, the needles are made in Nepal (actually China). Another deception trick, the needles are called snags but are made of birch. Other than that, these are great dpns at an amazing price. The tips are quite sharp for a wooden needle, the dimensions are the same, the surface is smooth but not slippery. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, especially the price. They are comparable to the Sox Stix dpn sold by Lantern Moon, which used to sell for around $30 for a set of 5. I prefer wooden needles because I have arthritis, but birch wood isn't as soft as Lantern's rosewood needles. Moon so they stay very stiff in use so I wouldn't recommend them to knitters who have arm pain issues. (I highly recommend Lantern Moon Rosewood Sox Stix if you have trouble with sore hands when knitting, the wood is soft and flexes a bit in your hands so it's very comfortable which makes knitting less harsh on your hands. ) I haven't used them for a long time and expect the tips to wear down over time as will all wooden needles (with the possible exception of ebony needles).
