This switch prevents the window from gradually rolling down. It just goes into automatic mode as soon as you press the switch on it. I contacted the seller and he sent another one after jumping through some hoops. Unfortunately, the replacement has the same problem as the first. I would suggest going with a different switch. I gave them an extra star for sending another after filling out the form and providing a credit card. Not the best return policy, but it worked. Yes, and an extra start too, because the kids like to roll down their windows. They don't care what problems dad's window has.
