Review on 🦎 Repticare Infrared Ceramic Heat Emitter (150 watt) – Optimal Heating Solution for Reptile Habitats by Maria Jones

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Short quality

Bought this SE for my ball python. It heated its 55 gallon tank (on the thermostat) and when I first got it I really liked it. This kept the surrounding basking area on its warm side in its ideal temperature range (around 85°F) and complemented the heat band under the substrate (a warm, very happy and very healthy 2 year old snake). However, here we are, just 2 months later and there is no heat. The dome works fine (I put different bulbs in the fixture to make sure it wasn't a problem) but the bulb burned out. I pulled out the bulb and there is no damage on the outside and it doesn't work in my other light. Definitely not worth the money if it can't even last a few months. I wouldn't recommend it just because it can't withstand constant use over a long period of time.

Pros
  • Heat lamps and mats for the terrarium
Cons
  • Doubt
