Good for the environment without the soaking and smell of paper straws! Being made from nature, straws vary in diameter from straw to straw, so some are as thin as coffee stirrers and some are maybe 2/3 the thickness of a standard plastic straw. Some of our guests like to eat two at a time, but I don't usually mind eating one. There's no bad taste and they hold up pretty well. If I use a straw overnight it might get a little wet and less stiff, but it doesn't fall apart or become uncomfortable like paper straws.
