These bags are not as effective as the standard filter that comes with everyday vacuum cleaners. They clog up quickly, and once they do clog, the vacuum loses a lot of suction power. It's all about the surface area and the air's ability to bypass the dirt trapped in the filter. Dust and dirt stick to the side of the bag, which is a flat surface. The standard filter catches the dirt in layers and it takes a very long time to fill all the filter elements unless it is a big job. I'd rather keep peak performance than mess around with changing those little bags frequently.
