Review on Elanz Reflective Breakaway Cat Collar - 12 Pack with Bell & ID Tag: Adjustable, Soft, Durable Nylon Collars for Kittens & Cats – Multicolor, Safety Buckles & Weatherproof Tags by Melissa Lopez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great, I love them and my cats give them 4 paws!

My cats used to be allowed in my yard and have lost more collars and expensive name tags than I can count. Even now, just inside or outside in their closed cotio, they still manage to lose collars and dog tags. In the last year 2 of my 5 cats were even tagged with the wrong name because I didn't bother to order new brands. What I like about the collars: Lots of colors to choose from, they're bright so cats prefer them over some others I've bought, they're reflective at night (so if they go outside I can find them), they're easy to adjust and the clasp is tight enough to hold onto, but not so tight that it won't come loose if need be. Ideal "tear-off" installation. What I love about labels is that they are already attached, I don't have to break a nail trying to attach them to a small steel ring. You belong! I don't need to order them separately! They are much lighter than metal tags, which cats definitely like. They're easy to write on - I used an Ultra Fine Point Sharpie and it worked great. (Note that "Super Slim" is very important, a thin sharpie tip would be too big) I have pretty bad handwriting and can't write lowercase and still have room to customize: Front: Cat's name, I belong in! Back: cellphone and home numbers So far I've given them to two cats with false names - they're both pretty happy with it. I'll replace the rest today. A word of advice: if you are using an ultra-fine Sharpie, allow the smell of the ink to dissipate before putting the collar on your cat. My smell is gone after 3 hours, it's the handle not the collar. I would highly recommend them - and if my cats lose them all I will definitely be ordering them again! (I've tried at least 10 different brands of cat collars - so that's kudos) The manufacturer's instructions say the lettering will fade over time and need to be renewed, so I just check them regularly and refresh them as needed. A compromise that is definitely worth it, as even metal labels become scratched and illegible over time. I will update this review in a few months!
