Review on ⚙️ Adjustable 220V Control Regulator by HiLetgo by Jeremy Gulledge

Revainrating 4 out of 5

First look and dyno test

Powered by a 5.4 amp drill, the unit was initially too sensitive and only worked with very little movement of the main potentiometer; The engine will jerk and yaw if over-revved. As others have noted, this is because the RMS output voltage is lowered and set to 220V, but I used 110. Turning the small knob clockwise a few times gave me the full range of adjustment of the speed potentiometer and the motor seemed happy, when full counter clockwise the main potentiometer gave an output voltage of about 78V with the motor running. Under load I have it Haven't tried it yet other than holding the cartridge in your hand for a bit. The pot is smooth and solid to the touch and requires a 7mm (9/32 inch) diameter hole with threads sufficient for a maximum board thickness of 1/8 inch (although if thicker than 1 /16 the handle can rub completely against the plate). . Path). There is no room to drill mounting holes between rails/components, but the pot's mounting bracket is strong enough to mount the unit this way as long as the wires are supported. A small tab sticks out next to the potentiometer and a 3mm hole should be drilled in the 9/32" OC board next to the hole for the potentiometer, but this also keeps the unit in an aligned position and prevents it from becoming loose Screw terminals seem a little flimsy but "good enough" for stranded wire tighten to 12 AWG I'll update my review when I use it And I'll be careful at low speed as it reduces airflow and motor cooling Me will never give a 5 star rating as long as the device doesn't work for a year but so far it works as promised.
