This is a well-tailored, durable and insulated jacket perfect for cold weather. It can also be layered for very low temperatures. It has a few extra features that I appreciate: the hood zips open, the front and inside pockets zip to keep contents from getting lost, and there's an elastic band to tighten around the waist (might be useful while sledding). horseback riding or other winter sports to keep the snow out). My above average 8 year old can wear this and will probably be able to wear it for a couple of years. In general I am very satisfied.
