This jacket was perfect for my 9 year old and wasn't bulky at all but still warm. It was finally getting cold here and we gave it a try yesterday as it was windy and chilly. He, my son, doesn't like it thick, but short. This jacket comes down to his thigh. It is a waterproof jacket, so it is also suitable for rain. The sleeves fit perfectly and have a thumb hole which my son loves. He said he felt very warm wearing it yesterday and last night and because it's not so bulky he can play freely. My

    Pros
    • Warm, but the flash is sluggish and constantly jams.
    Cons
    • Sizing may not be exact, making it difficult to find the perfect fit for your child.

    Warm and cozy.

That's a great jacket. It fits my 9 year old son perfectly. It's super thick and comfortable. At first he didn't like the thumbholes on the sleeves, but after about a week he's always wearing them. He said hands get warm without gloves. Overall I would definitely recommend this jacket. It reminds me of the jackets we wore as kids in the 80's.

    Pros
    • The jacket has a water-repellent outer layer to keep your child dry and comfortable in snowy or wet conditions.
    Cons
    • The jacket may not be suitable for outdoor activities where children need full freedom of movement.

Nice lightweight parka for a boy from a trusted brand

Good looking lightweight hooded parka that I think is best suited for non-northern climates and/or fall/spring conditions. The hood feature is probably best for keeping the rain out. The jacket has an inside pocket (mesh) and two outside pockets. The latter are equipped with plastic zippers, which can become a problem if you use them frequently. Another positive feature is the sleeve extensions, which are long enough to cover small arms in windy conditions. All in all, this is an eye-catching…

Lots of nice features - my new test report

This is an impressive jacket that has many of the characteristics of a quality adult jacket. - Front and inner chest pockets with zips. - The hood is attached / put on. - Thin inner wrist lining with thumb hole. This liner is made of water-repellent polyester. This helps retain warmth but can make it a bit bulky to put on and take off, especially when wet. The elastic band can tighten the waist area. The layering on the bottom allows it to be used for very low temperatures. The color "black" is

    Pros
    • Bought this jacket for my son's trip to the mountains, very warm but had problems with the zip jamming.
    Cons

and an insulated jacket that's perfect for cold weather

This is a well-tailored, durable and insulated jacket perfect for cold weather. It can also be layered for very low temperatures. It has a few extra features that I appreciate: the hood zips open, the front and inside pockets zip to keep contents from getting lost, and there's an elastic band to tighten around the waist (might be useful while sledding). horseback riding or other winter sports to keep the snow out). My above average 8 year old can wear this and will probably be able to wear it…

    Pros
    • Lightweight and warm, the Arctix Kids Steep Insulated Jacket in Black X-Small is perfect for keeping kids warm in cold weather.
    Cons
    • Lightweight material may not be as durable as heavier options, meaning the jacket will need to be changed more often.

The coat looks, fits and works well for the money. The coat is not high quality, but "inexpensive". My 14 year old son really enjoyed it. I bought it for him when we were snowboarding in West Virginia. It's 10-15 degrees outside. Bought youth XL. Fits him perfectly. He just turned 14, 5ft 3in tall and weighs around 120lbs.

    Pros
    • The jacket has several pockets for storing essentials such as gloves or a phone.
    Cons
    • The jacket may not be suitable for children with sensory problems as the material may feel uncomfortable against the skin.

This jacket runs true to size

This jacket was well made and will last my son for at least 2 more years assuming he doesn't grow and outgrow it. lol Light thin fabric. Didn’t seem like it’d keep my son warm in snow so we returned..

    Pros
    • My boy loves it!! In addition, the liner has holes for the thumb. The zipper is a bit fiddly.
    Cons
    • Light thin fabric. It didn't look like my son would get warm in the snow so we went back.

    Buy again: my rating

This coat is so light and thin I was worried it wouldn't be warm enough, but it's so hot my kids take it off in the car! The only downside was that the hood came off very easily and I had to sew it back on.

    Pros
    • The lightweight design makes it easy for kids to move and play without feeling heavy.
    Cons
    • The jacket may not have enough pockets for children to carry all the necessary things.

    Great jacket, great price

true size. Very nice light jacket. Perfect for my 9 year old. He loves the thumb holes and the soft cuff material. He likes the small zipped pocket on the inside at chest height. We like the slightly longer back shape and the easily removable/replaceable hood. We haven't had enough cold weather to really test it, but it's a great coat that's soft and comfortable. My only minor complaint is that the fabric catches easily on the zipper. Be careful when packing and unpacking, otherwise it will get

    Pros
    • Constructed of high quality materials, this jacket is durable and able to withstand harsh weather conditions.
    Cons
    • The zipper can be prone to damage and breakage, preventing children from closing the jacket properly and staying warm.

This is a really nice stylish jacket. The colors look great. Although it's only fall here in Wisconsin, it looks like it's going to be warm enough for winter. The pockets are great and there are a lot of them. The hood is good to have. It even has a zipper to open. I highly recommend this jacket.

    Pros
    • Great jacket
    Cons
    • No winter coat. More like an autumn coat. Very thin. Has thumb holes.

Arrived just in time for cooler weather!

My grandson seems to be growing like weeds and we knew he was going to need a new fall/winter coat. Turns out the weather was getting colder the day the coat arrived, so it arrived at the very last moment. Grandson loves the jacket - and loves the color combination as it makes it easy for him to choose a jacket. The jacket is good for chilly mornings but still comfortable when the afternoon heats up.

    Pros
    • Lightweight and warm, the Arctix Kids Steep Insulated Jacket in Black, X-Small is easy to clean and care for, making it a convenient choice for parents.
    Cons
    • The jacket may not be suitable for children who require special features for their specific needs, such as: B. Wheelchair users or children with visual impairments.

Great winter coat for a boy

Great winter coat for a boy. Time will tell if it's as warm as they say, but so far so good. It has a lot of nice touches that weren't in my son's previous coats. He particularly likes the cuffs on the sleeves that go with the gloves for good snow protection. Probably the best winter coat he's ever had!

    Pros
    • A full-length front zip and adjustable cuffs provide a comfortable, secure fit that keeps cold air out.
    Cons
    • The material can be prone to pilling, which will affect the jacket's appearance over time.

    Good coat: my rating

My son loves the coat (he's 10) but we had to tape the inside flap because it kept getting caught on the zipper. He skied in it all day in 35 degrees New Hampshire and never once complained about the cold.

    Pros
    • Great for the price! Good for spring or fall.
    Cons
    • The jacket may not be waterproof, which may cause discomfort and possible illness to children who get wet while wearing it.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice coat that is thinner but still insulating.

Nice coat that is thinner but still insulates well. The styling is appealing, with red/blue accent blocks. Features a detachable hood, zip pockets and adjustable cuffs (ideal for deep snow). Great for outdoor play while running.

    Pros
    • The only drawback is that the zipper closes when you open it. Nice and warm and not too thick.
    Cons
    • Insulation may not be sufficient to keep children warm in extremely cold temperatures.

Great jacket! the best in my rating

That's a great jacket. It's very comfortable, very warm and looks like something straight out of the 80's. My son loves it and keeps him very warm too. The jacket is really well made - all the stitching is well done, the zips work great and it's definitely not flimsy junk.

    Pros
    • The jacket is insulated with 85 grams of ThermaTech insulation to provide excellent warmth in cold weather.
    Cons
    • The hood may not be adjustable, making it difficult for children to properly protect their heads and necks from the cold.

the zip broke on the 3rd wear

The coat is quite light but I kept it. My son wore it for 3 days and the zipper broke. Very disappointing. Save money and buy better quality coats.

    Cons
    • Slightly torn

    Backorder

This coat is so light and thin I was afraid it wouldn't be warm enough, but it's so hot my kids take it off in the car! The only downside was that the hood came off very easily and I had to sew it back on.

    • Jackets and Coats
    Cons

lightning is pain; do not buy

This jacket fits my son perfectly except for one thing - the zipper. The fabric flap in the jacket kept getting caught in the zipper and getting stuck. I've tried sewing the flap on so that it doesn't touch the zipper, but to no avail. I was constantly frustrated fighting this flash. Too bad a design flaw ruins everything. But that's important enough that I don't recommend this article.

    Pros
    • Down & Down Alternative
    Cons
    • Long delivery time
