Review on Spectre Performance 9922 High Intake by Ken Desens

Vehicle: 7.3 PowerStoke Diesel F-250. I have been using a K&N filter charger for 4 years but a recent inspection showed that the airbox is cracked and needs to be replaced. Instead, I went this route for less money than genuine parts. I have walked the same 220 miles to the install site daily for the past 2 weeks and have been tracking the mileage daily - filled with the same mileage every morning. Switched from K&N to this Specter after 3 rides and immediately saw an increase in mileage from 16.8 to 18.1mpg on fairly "rough" driving. This has been repeating itself almost exactly for 3 days so I know it's safe. The only downside is that this air cleaner makes an interesting series of chugging and puffing noises under acceleration and deceleration; not particularly disturbing, but noticeable. Otherwise, it installs easily in about an hour.
