In my rush to fit a set of winter wheels/tires on my daughter's 2011 Fusion SEL, I accidentally set one of the nuts at a slight angle, first by hand and then with me my deep socket with a torque wrench. When the wrench slipped off the nut, I knew I was in trouble. The nut came loose a bit and there wasn't enough room on the aftermarket wheels to grab the nut and try to unscrew it. I didn't have any other wrenches to loosen the nut until I saw a YouTube video of this particular tool. This nut remover worked great and I quickly removed the bad nut. This tool saved me the hassle of visiting my local mechanic or dealer and they would have easily charged me an hour's labor to remove the nut = $120 labor and $6.50 to replace the original nut. The tool paid for itself the first and hopefully last time I needed to use it. But knowing that I now have the right tool for the job gives me extra confidence if it ever happens again.
