Bought to replace a light bulb on my boat trailer

Excellent price, well assembled. The only problem I have is the color of the wires: white for ground and black for plus? What happened to red for + and black for -?. It's 12V DC, right? My solution would be to mark the positive wire with red tape before connecting it to the trailer. I know the Mfg trailer uses weird wiring standards. They're bright, so they should be fine.

Pros

. Size & Brightness: 2.54" x 1.06" x 0.7" and Hole Pitch: 1.8"; 80 lumens per light with 2 high-quality LEDs. So if you use it as a turn signal by connecting an on/off switch, it might not be as bright; Surface mount with two free wires, black for hot and white for ground, wires come out the back of the light;
