Review on YETI Rambler 30 oz Travel Mug: Stainless Steel, Vacuum Insulated with Stronghold Lid in Seafoam - Perfect for On-the-Go! by Yoganand Stradley

I bought this item about a month ago to replace a 10 year old BubbaKeg. I really wanted the 30 ounce size to have enough coffee for my morning commute/jam. First of all, the thing is of high quality, material and assembly are top. The custom made items I ordered look very nice. However, there are a few issues that I feel have made this design a poor and unfortunate choice. Firstly, this metal glass is very heavy. With hand/wrist issues it's just too heavy to hold comfortably and that's made worse by the fact that the handle is too small - I can only fit 3 fingers in so can't hold it properly. The next problem, and this is the real reason I want to return this product, is that with every sip I take, coffee drips down my sides, chin and shirt. The protrusion on the plastic cover is too short/too small. I thought I was crazy but a few others have tried drinking from this glass and spilled coffee on their side or themselves, they also found this to be a problem. (see photo) Also, it makes a mess on the table or in the cup holder in the car. I have never had such a problem with a coffee mug, very poor design and this constant problem has become an obstacle for me. I would like to return this item, but unfortunately it has been used, washed in the dishwasher and the original packaging has been thrown away. Another problem is that the metal expands when heated, making it impossible to remove the plastic cap for refills. You have to wait for it to cool down. I am VERY dissatisfied with this product even though it can keep the coffee hot for hours, it has poor design and at $54 with shipping it was an expensive mistake. I'll look into another brand of glass but this one ends up with goodwill or in the trash.
