Bought a helmet for a kid to ride a bike. I was looking for good coverage all around, especially on the back of the head. In addition to good ventilation, the helmet also offers a visor. The only caveat is that you need a little work to properly tighten the harness for small children. Bell seems to have provided straps long enough for adults, although this helmet isn't designed for them. This results in very long overhangs. You can pack them up, but that leaves a lot of wiggle room at first, so just keep that in mind when setting it up for your child.
