Review on Cordiant All Terrain 215/65 R16 98H summer by Agata Gawlik-Strzele ᠌

The product is really good, I'm glad I purchased it.

The tires are relatively new - no one has rolled on it for more than a year. It was purchased in June for a Toyota Estima car with a dimension of 205/70/15, for light off-road and forest paths. Yokohama Geolandar A / T-S G012 tires, very popular among crossover owners, were also considered, but the price tag was inclined towards Cordiant. The experience of using Geolandar was also on the previous car, so I will compare these two rubbers. 1. Noise. Replacing the old Barum Bravirus rubber with Cordiant went unnoticed, there was no more noise from the tires, maybe because of the diesel playing the first violin in the general noise. I consider it incorrect to compare the noise from the Geolandar used on the gasoline Ixtrail. 2. Asphalt. Excellent resistance to hydroplaning, a little roll in corners, quite comfortable on the joints and potholes. 3. Primer and light off-road. It allows you to keep sufficient speed on a sandy-dirt track, much better than a highway, you can climb onto the beach and even drag other poor fellows. On clay, it behaves better than the geolandar, it clears faster and the side lugs are more developed, allowing you to get out of a deep rut. 4. Winter. It so happened that I drove on it in the first snow. I will say that the worst winter tires are much better. On ice, the rubber becomes dull and is not controlled at all, as if it had no tread at all. 5. Wear. Over 14,000 kilometers, wear is much more significant than on Geolandar. There are also pleasant moments - no hernias or cuts, despite the fact that we climbed enough sharp stones on this rubber and missed a lot of potholes, sometimes quite hard. Summary. Personally, I’m unlikely to take this rubber again, I’ll rather lean towards Geolandar. Rubber is suitable for those who like to climb without sparing tires, fishermen and hunters.

Pros
  • Price, manufacturer
Cons
  • Controversial - not suitable for winter use
