The best meter I've ever seen!

Wow, so far I really like what I'm seeing. Looks REALLY accurate in the DC and resistance measurements I've done. It was only 0.01 volts reading from my variable DC power supply! The company also claims a 10-year warranty, but you'll need to register on the company's website to get the warranty. Pros: * The display is really big and the measurements "set" very quickly! loud!* It measures capacitors and can measure larger capacitors than most other meters!* Comes with a really nice case and a temperature probe.* Works great with my Extech TL809 test lead set.* There is a small clear plastic protective film on the display. (It's not printed on it so you can leave it on to protect the front of the counter). Cons: * The backlight turns off a little earlier than I'd like, but I don't plan on using it too often. really deep/narrow in the body of the meter that most 3rd party banana plugs won't reach them unless you remove their plastic covers. The bare wire will go in and be snug. * Installing the 9V battery (included) was a bit tricky. The back cover of the battery compartment has a large hollow bar. It looks like you have to click on the battery terminals and then plug all the 9V on the side into that tab on the cover. Then try to reconnect the cover to the meter. The connecting wires remained pinched between the lip of the cover and the case. So it took me a minute to carefully put everything back in place and put it back together. I've seen some really cool 9v battery box designs, this isn't one of them. But how often do you change the battery anyway? around the outside of the gauge, which requires you to snap the cover over it to get a seamless edge between the two materials. When you take it out of the box you'll think the protective gasket and counter are actually a piece of plastic (they aren't). I found it very attractive. It has probe holders on the back of the meter. But as usual, all gauges I've seen don't have a center post to wrap wires around the back. So while I have a way to hold the probes, the wires themselves have no structure to wrap around. That makes the whole idea of a probe holder useless. Because of this, you end up deleting held leads.

Pros
  • Solid build
Cons
  • Not bad
