Not sure if other reviewers ended up with faulty units or anything, but it wasn't a problem for me. I stuck a long safety pin into the C->F hole on the back and gave it a little nudge and it instantly switched to Fahrenheit. There is a small button at the bottom of the hole. It took about 1 second. Otherwise I got it today and I'm happy so far. It seems accurate enough and it's a pretty snazzy looking device with the head-up display it has. Until I regret it Seems like a lot.
