it doesn't seem bad, but I think the manufacturer is too proud.
Advice from the fridge mechanic who replaced a part on my KFXS25RYMS0 kitchen gadget: Buy a tube of food grade white grease - I have mine on www.smile.amazon.com - and change the filter in the fridge every one Day time apply a small amount to seals and contact points. This prevents wear of the part where the filter is installed, loss of tightness and leakage. The smallest tube made from this material lasts two lifetimes. The filter itself doesn't seem bad, but I think the manufacturer takes too much pride in their product. Almost $100 for water filters? hmm... .
