Review on Medium Portable Pet Home by Petmate in Khaki and Maroon by Sarah Jackson

Transportable good for dogs

Bought for my Yorkie/Toy Poodle pup, not a traditional metal cage. After about a month he managed to tear the seams of the bottom fleece liner about halfway and chewed a small hole in the front flap, barely getting through his snout. I think chewing on the web-like material irritates him as he hears sneezing when he tries to chew it and has since given up. Another thing to note is that the windows and front flap don't let in much light, and in a moderately well-lit room it's quite difficult to even make out the shape of the dog, let alone see what it's doing. In summary I think this is a great pet carrier for its lightness, ease of assembly and edgy look. However, if you plan to train your pup in a crate, I would recommend using a traditional metal crate as 1) it's much easier for the dog to see the space and feel like part of the family, 2) it's convenient is indestructible, and 3) most metal crates have an adjustable panel in the center to better accommodate your pet's size as it grows.
