I have colanders of various sizes that I have used for many years. So many years that I can't remember when I got them. The little one I have is plastic and eventually started breaking so I started looking for a replacement. They caught my eye and I decided to try them. I used them a few times last week and I think we have a keeper! I drained the fat from the sausage and some ground beef and used it to drain the pasta. I also put them in the dishwasher - at this point in my life I refuse to only collect handwash! You can see in the picture how much space my metal one takes up and how much space the big collapsible one takes up. I'll update you shortly on how they hold up over time, but I'll also be ordering another set for my son's new apartment.
