Fixed ABS/traction light issue in '04 Chevy Impala

Bought this for my mother as a base 2004 Chevy Impala. For the past few years, her car has had a serious problem with the ABS/Traction Light being on all the time. She paid hundreds of dollars to a local shop to diagnose/fix the problem but they never properly fixed it. In many places where we live your car will fail state inspection if there are any indicators like ABS/traction, so this required permanent repair. I did some research and heard that it's not the sensor itself, it's the wiring that usually fails with these things for some reason. I picked up the car to put a computer on it and he read that the problem was with the right front wheel. I jacked up the car and installed it, it took about an hour. I ended up using wire caps to connect them to the original wiring as it's a really terrible place to try soldering the wires together. Taped and removed, problem solved. It's been a few months now and it still drives great and the ABS lights don't come on anymore. Overall great wire, problem solved. Dorman products are usually pretty reliable for me. If you don't mind getting under your car, buy this and save a ton of money. Take it to an auto parts store like me and see what bike it came from. If replacing the cable doesn't solve the problem, the problem is most likely with the sensor itself.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Good but not great
